Hi, I'm Linda Brennan and I live in East Tennessee at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I am nestled firmly in a small "holler" on one of the ridges at the base of the mountains. My old mobile home is small and cozy enough for me, a grumpy cat and 3 dogs that let her rule the roost. I was born in coastal SC but have always loved the mountains and moved here almost 15 years ago when they closed Charleston Naval Shipyard where I spent 15 years as a Toolroom Mechanic.

I have been crafting and making soap, bath & beauty products for nearly 50 years. I have had my own store, ran a fulltime booth in a giant flea market for about 10 years, done oodles of craft shows and flea markets. From 99 to 06, I was selling out of several craft shops in Pigeon Forge TN until they closed down.

Now I have a few items in a shop in Gatlinburg and some tourist stops in the area. Most of the shops mark up 50% and I really prefer to work one on one with people and give them quality stuff for great prices. I am proud of the products I make and like knowing they are going to people who appreciate them.

I am just 4 years from retirement but have been ill the last few years and am now in that black hole between being too sick to work fulltime and too well to qualify for disability. I have been able to become a certified substitute teacher and can teach 1 -2 days per week. When able, I make my crafts fulltime. Looking towards retirement, I have moved into a tiny place and am selling many books and craft supplies I have had for years as I downsize. Plus I sell miscellaneous used items given to me by friends and church members. If you travel to Gatlinburg you will sometimes find me selling by the road at the Cosby Crossroads (across from the post office).

You can always contact me at lnbrnnn@runbox.com or go to any listing and click on the "Ask Seller a Question" link. I have good days and bad days so sometimes I am able to be here everyday and sometimes I am in the bed for a few days at a time.

I have added a blog for the business so I can list closing dates when I shut down to attend craft shows:

http://villagecraftsmith.blogspot.com/

You will find reopening dates there.

Thank you for your time and interest.
Linda B:)
